Good morning, people of the universe. Welcome to the weirdness.
This week, we start with a bang: the first pages of LEGEND OF THE SWORD BEARER chapter 5!
We return to Bran and company, waiting outside the Elven council chamber as the council members decide their fate. The meeting has run a bit long, but the elves are in no hurry to get things moving. Bran and company, however, are not so patient, as you can very well see.
You’ll notice that my speech bubble design has changed a couple of times. I’ve done a bit of experimentation with the speech bubbles to figure out the best design. These speech bubbles were actually added before the speech bubbles in Chapter 4. You see, Chapter 4 had these pre-designed speech bubbles that looked terrible, so I just took them off and added better ones.
Anyway, this has been a productive week. I’ve been getting a lot of feedback on THE FALL OF EMRYS from my beta-readers and all I can say is AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!! Mother of Crom! They’re destroying it! They keep finding plot-holes I didn’t know I had! It’s an insurrection!
Needless to say, I have a LOT of rewriting to do when all is said and done. That being said, three out of five beta-readers have enjoyed it, which is satisfying. I’m still tentatively planning on have the book out in July, but we’ll see.
In the meantime, if you have not yet purchased my other three books, I would suggest you click the image below and change that. All three action=packed fantasies are available both on paperback and Kindle for your reading pleasure, or for someone you love.
In other news, I have completed the rough draft of another Walter Ulric short story, and now I’m running it by my editor for approval. Should be published soon; maybe this week, definitely next week. I’m pretty much winding down the series now; I’ve got maybe two more stories before I start getting it ready for the anthology. However, I have a few more ideas in me, which will go into a second volume probably in 2023 or 24.
Speaking of short stories, I have exciting news! A friend on Twitter suggested that I write a series of shorts for my newsletter based in the Sword Bearer mythos. It’ll only be available for paid subscribers, so smash that button below and get the full story for only $7/mo!
Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for reading and have an outstanding week!
