New Comic Pages, Progress And Priorities
Two brand new pages of LEGEND OF THE SWORD BEARER, some explanations of said pages, my progress in my other stories, and a word about priorities.
Good morning and welcome to another installment in my slow descent into madness.
First off, let’s get right to it with another installment of LEGEND OF THE SWORD BEARER:
I was only going to include one page today, but I just couldn’t help myself. I just wanted to get to the next one. Here, our two intrepid officers of the law, DI Cobin and DI Stewart, are investigating the strange goings on in town. If you recall, Daphne was kidnapped by Lord Mordred and used to lure Bran into a trap. Bran escaped, however, killing two ogres in the process. The local police, however, found the bodies of said ogres and are now investigating what happened.
They first go to Daphne Wong’s place of work, West Country Energy, where they find no answers. They are then sent to the Big Bear Inn, where Daphne’s boyfriend (and our hero) Bran works. Since it was no longer safe for Daphne to go to work, and Bran and Stumpy are away questing, she takes up the slack at the inn.
These scenes proved a unique challenge; I had to draw a power plant, which I’ve never done before, plus I had to make some background characters for the pub. Fortunately, two of my favorite deceased writers were available for the job: C.S. Lewis and Brian Jacques.
Anyway, this was a good week for writing. I’ve made a ton of progress on my novella THE FALL OF EMRYS as well as my two short stories, OF MUNSTER AND MAN and another story that I’ll be debuting for my paid subscribers at the end of the month. This’ll be an exciting one, full of thrills and plenty of laughter, so if you’re not one of my paid subscribers, I would amend that immediately. It’s only $7/month! I’ve also been pretty busy with my artwork. I love it, but it’s also a little frustrating, because I don’t have the time to properly devote to all the projects I want to work on. That’s why it’s important to prioritize. Some clients take precedence over others; that’s just the way of things. I like all my clients, but I can’t work for all of them at once - I only have two arms, after all. I think that was a bit of a mistake on God’s part (only joking, of course).
Anyhow, I have a lot of work to do, so I guess I should leave you all and get right to it. Thank you for reading this ramble, and I bid you a good week.
