Relocating, Hallows Eve, & The Doom Of Marigolds
Good morning, all you sugar junkies recovering from your Halloween hangovers. Have a spooky evening, I trust? I decided to spend Halloween rewriting some of my Walter Ulric stories. The scariest part was realizing how awful some of my sentence and paragraph structures were, and that I had already published them. Yeah, horrifying. But that’ll tell you how far I’ve come in a year.
As you’ve probably figured out, I’ve relocated operations. Again. You see, the problem with Benchmark email is that they only let you send out 250 emails a month (depending on your plan). “Well, no way I’m writing 250 a month” I thought when I joined. Wrong! That’s 250 total email sends. When you have over 40 subscribers, it don’t take long to get to 250. So I said “well, forget that. Substack will let me send as many as I like for free!” and here we are.
Anyway, some garden news for people who seem to be interested in that sort of thing. I awoke Wednesday morning to find that a rather thick frost had fallen the night before. This had put an end to the marigolds, the last plants in the vegetable patch. So that was the official end to the growing season. We’ll start all over again next April. Well, hopefully. Last couple of years, we’ve had snow on and off into May, so we’ll see.
I’m nearly done rewriting THE TOWER OF EMRYS again. I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve rewritten or edited it. I’ve had to change some plot points to fill in a few holes, but that’s writing. If we’re lucky, I might get it out in time for Black Friday.
Speaking of which, if you’re interested in supporting small businesses this Christmas, I’d recommend you head over to my online store and check out some of the merch designed and conceived by yours truly. Just click the image below. You’ll be glad you did.
And last, but certainly not the least, be sure to check out the latest LEGEND OF THE SWORD BEARER on Webtoon, today. This one is not to be missed, so click that image below RIGHT NOW!
Well, that’s all for this week. Thanks for reading thus far, and bid you a pleasant week!
