Whatever Happened To Murder Hornets?
A new comic! Plus some musings on hornets, some updates on my latest work, and more!
Good morning, people of the universe. Welcome again to this slice of mirth and madness.
This week, I (naturally) have yet another installment in the epic tale LEGEND OF THE SWORD BEARER for you:
Finally, Stumpy closes a tense meeting with a sarcastic quip. Bran is naturally irritated that people seem to be ignoring the plight of his sister, and impatient with General Cadoc’s no-nonsense attitude. Next week will start a scene which I’m looking forward to unveiling.
So anyone remember those murder hornets? I do. They just kind of disappeared after 2020. Weird. I could hardly forget them. I hate hornets, probably more than any other creature. Well, aside from yellowjackets, but that’s a story for another time. I’ve been seeing a lot of hornets lately, some pretty big ones. Not murder hornet sized, but definitely big enough to get your attention. It’s a bit disconcerting when you’re out trying to take care of your garden and you hear that loud humming like a small aircraft hovering around you. They come to chew off bits of my garden fence to use as building material. I’ll give them one thing, they are pretty good architects.
Anyway, THE FALL OF EMRYS is coming, slow and steady. I’ve just been busy with a lot of side projects; home repair, the garden, Walter Ulric, and this newsletter. I’m still planning to release it on my birthday, August 7th. I’ve restructured the entire middle of the book, as you’re aware. I’m sure it’ll be worth all the work I put in. It feels not so much like a third draft, but more like a completely different book. A bit odd.
And if you haven’t read my other three books,, now’s the time to avail yourself of that opportunity! All three are available now on Kindle and paperback! Click the image below to purchase.
Anyway, I have been working on two different Walter Ulric mysteries. Yes, two I said! I started one, and then in the midst of it I had an idea for another, so naturally I had to start on it. Which will I finish first? Not sure. That’s the fun part! However, I am going to have to concentrate on one at a time in order to finish one, and finish the short story I started for the newsletter by the end of the month.
Speaking of this newsletter, last week I released my first in a series of short stories from the Sword Bearer mythos, available only to paid subscribers. If you want to gain full access to these thrilling tales, click the button below to change your subscription.
Well, that’s all for today. Thanks for reading and have a great week!
